Sorry for the silence...been having WAY too much fun getting hitched! What a day....we JUST about managed to have the windswept ceremony outside overlooking the lake. Just about got our “I do’s” out & the heavens forced us back inside. We then did photography conga as the sun came out....3 pics....rain....back in for 2 more pics....back outside again! Apart from the obvious, the one thing that will stay in our minds is the number of people saying congrats to us as we walked through the hotel! How to feel like an A-lister in one easy move! Woke up to sun over the mountains this morning which is one of the most surreal experiences ever. Despite the (obvious) excitement of the day, all you can do is lie there & stare.Staring over....just got straight in the room, then down for a late breakfast. The food here is really something else...the restaurant last night served quite possibly the best food we’ve ever eaten. Its really impressive when 5 or 6 people come out with your food, then simultaneously put every plate down without even asking “Who’s having the fish?”. So, we had a mini road-trip up from Calgary to Lake Louise today. No, take that back...2 hours does not constitute a road trip I guess, but it was a spectacular journey anyway. Quick stop off in Banff to get the wedding licence (let’s not forget why we came here eh?) & a drop in to McD’s (yes they do taste the same, but I was asked “How would you like your chicken?” !? Absolutely throwing it down in Banff, which is great for umbrella sales, but not looking so cool for our lakeside wedding tomorrow. Bet its glorious at home grrrrrr... Quick push on to Lake Louise. Only two nights...

Calgary stampede today ( www.calgarystampede.com )Hailed as “The Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth”.... The size of the place is just awesome. Its set in site of part of the Winter Olympics in ’88 & it was RAMMED!The show itself is superb....real cowboy stuff with competitions on how quickly you can tie a calf up etc etc (!)The highlight of the day is the chuck wagon racing & the “Big Show” finale...not sure about the racing. Maybe the torrential rain kind of put us off, or maybe we just don’t get it... the show was pretty awesome through...finally got to see some...

So tired...just got here after 3 hour delay at Manc airport.Room is awesome. Just can’t appreciate it just yet.

Yup....flight delayed.We’re supposed to take off an hour & a quarter ago, so we only have cider & pass the pigs* to keep us amused. And pass the pigs has got packed away after two rounds.Stag do’s have come & gone & now we’re trying to remember the characters in 70’s sitcoms.Still finding stuff to laugh at though*dice-like game with rubber pigs...a lot more fun than it sounds.
